Hello!

Hi, I’m Nicolette. I’m a board-certified music therapist living in Brooklyn with my two furry orange cats, Anchovy and Sardine.

Over the last ten years, I’ve discovered ways that music can activate the mind, evoke emotions, and engage the body. I’ve witnessed the power of music with a woman suffering from dementia as she sang lyrics from her favorite childhood song.  I experienced pure joy with a 6-year-old boy who confronted his stage fright as he bravely performed his original song while I strummed my acoustic guitar by his side. These moments of connection and transformation fuel my passion for music therapy.

We thrive when we are provided the opportunity to learn and grow in our unique ways, and I’ve seen firsthand how music therapy is transformative in facilitating this growth. It has the power to bring hope and optimism to those who engage with it. I believe that everyone deserves to be recognized and valued for exactly who they are and that is what brought me here. I’m so glad you are here too.
